India fast bowler Muhammad Shami was on Wednesday subjected to marathon interrogation by the Kolkata Police.
Shami and his brother were on Wednesday summoned by police for interrogation in connection of domestic violence and other related charges lodged by the cricketer’s wife Hasin Jehan who had earlier charged the India quickie with adultery, violence and his brother with rape.
The cricketer was questioned for more than three hours by a team of senior officers led by Deputy Commissioner Detective Department Neelu Sherpa, sources said. The officials however would not reveal the content of the questionnaires saying the cricketer refuted most charges.
The interrogation was recorded by the police and “if need be he may be summoned again,” sources said.
