OPP, SENA SlAM MAHA BUDGET, NCP SAYS IT IS MEANT FOR TRADERS

Published on:

On a day when State Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar received brickbats for his State Budget from both the Opposition parties and ruling Shiv Sena, the NCP said that the Devendra Fadnavis Government’s move to abolish local Body Tax would benefit merely the trading community, while the common people across the State would have to bear the financial burden arising out of the move.

Reacting to the State Budget for 2015-16 presented in both the Houses of the State legislature, Shiv Sena’s Sunil Shinde said that there was hardly anything in the Budget for Mumbai. “The budget has done injustice to Mumbaikars. The State Government has not made any allocation for BDD Chawl. Nor is there any announcement about providing houses to the erstwhile textile mill workers. Similarly, no allocation has been made for the Mumbai coastal road project,” he said.
