In order to make better co-ordination between the Uttar Pradesh Government and people, the Yogi Adityanath Government has deputed 31 Ministers, one of whom will sit in party office for two hours daily so that they can hear the grievances of party workers and common people.
The system was kicked off on May 1 when Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi sat for two hours from 10 am to 12 noon and interacted with party workers. However, no such interaction was held on Tuesday due to State Working Committee meeting .
On Wednesday, labour Minister Swamy Prasad Maurya held a Janata Durbar at party office where he had an interaction with party workers. He also met common people and resolved their problems there and then.
State party general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that the aim is to have better coordination between the party and the Government.
“When a Minister will sit daily at the party office several problems of the party cadre and workers will be solved. Besides the Ministers would also get a first hand report of the ground reality on the Government’s achievement from the party workers,” he said.
Pathak said even the common man on street can meet Ministers in party office. The Government launched the programme as it is not possible for all party workers and people to meet Ministers in Secretariat because of strict security norms. “Here they can meet Ministers and can have their problems solved,” he said.
A roster has been prepared as which Minister will sit on which day.
According to the programme, all the 22 Cabinet Ministers would sit one-by-one from first day of the month while from 23 to last day of the month, nine other Minister of State would do the duty.
