Politics of Mehububnagar district in southern Telangana has taken a dramatic turn with a Congress MlA and former Minister Chittam Rammohan Reddy joining the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti on Wednesday.
The development was significant as Reddy’s sister and former Minister D K Aruna is locked in a fierce battle with the Chief Minister and TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao.
KCR personally welcomed Rammohan Reddy into TRS fold by putting a pink color bandana around his shoulder at his camp office on Wednesday.
later speaking to the media Reddy said that his politics was different from his sister and he joined the ruling party in the interest of his constituency Maktal. “There was no pressure on me to join the TRS. My decision was voluntary”, he said.
DK Aruna was among a few Congress leaders who continue to oppose the TRS and campaign aggressively against the Government.
