Known for her individualistic approach, Mallika Sarabhai drew attention of the AAP leaders in Gujarat saying that there shouldn’t have space for father’s name or husband’s name.
“Being an individual person, I would not like to be known by my father or husband’s name. That’s why I only wrote my name,” she said to the mediapersons at the time of filling the membership form to join the AAP. Sarabhai got married to Bipin Shah, owner of a publishing company and later got divorced.
