NSUI launches ‘Shiksha Bachao, Desh Bachao’ campaign

Congress students’ wing the National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Thursday launched the ‘Shiksha Bachao, Desh Bachao’ campaign to oppose the anti-student policies of Modi Government.

AICC Communications Secretary, Dr. Vineet Punia and NSUI National President, Neeraj Kundan launched the national campaign at AICC headquarters.

Addressing the media persons, Kundan said education is the birth right of every youth and child. BJP is working day and night to snatch fundamental right by privatising the education sector, he added. BJP’s anti-students policies have hurt the students’ interests but it was trying to distract the students through the divisive agenda, he said.

Kundan added that the need for this campaign has surfaced because BJP since the time has come in power is changing the education system for its ulterior motives. NEP was launched silently by BJP government during the time of Corona pandemic, which exposes its motive and hidden agenda. The only impact of this will be distancing education from the common people, he claimed.

NSUI has demanded the relaxation of age limit for jobs as the students could not compete for jobs as the selections were not held during the two years of Covid pandemic.
