Not much hours remaining for the MLC election. The campaign will be allowed only upto November 29.;After this, all kinds of the election campaign will stop. This time 16 candidates are fighting for teacher MLA, the candidate for graduate MLA is 22.
Independent candidates, along with SP, BJP and Congress, have put their full efforts in this remaining time. SP graduate candidate Aseem Yadav, teacher candidate Hevendra Chaudhary alias Hawwa Chaudhary, BJP's graduate candidate Manvendra Pratap Singh, teacher candidate Dinesh Vasistha, Congress graduate candidate Rajesh Dwivedi are also doing campaign day and night.
Due to the election of 12 districts of graduate legislators, candidates are also having some inconvenience in campaigning by following the protocol of Corona.
91 polling parties with 91 micro observer and 91 videographers will leave Dhanipur mandi for the MLC election on 30th November for their respective polling booths and will inspect the arrangements. Voting will begin from 8 am to 5 pm on 1st December. 16 sector, 7 zonal and 7 super zonal will be deployed to maintain peace from 30th November to 1st December. All the parties will return to Dhanipur Mandi by night on the same day after polling and submit the ballot boxes to the strong room from where they will be sent to Agra.
The counting of votes will begin on 3rd December and will last for about 36 to 45 hours and the result will be declared on 5th December.
Assistant District Election Officer Kaushal Kumar said that the Agra district administration is responsible for the counting of votes. He also appealed to the public to maintain social distance in the MLC elections. This is his 20th major election. He said that every election is a new experience for him. In which he is engaged fully. This time too, the MLC elections happening in the Corona period which will teach a new lesson. Many times, it happened that election notification was issued, and he went on transfer, but the then District Magistrate has called him after recommending him to the government. The reason for this is that Kaushal Kumar has every information, from the smallest to reservation, nomination, voting, counting, in every election, which makes the job of top officials easy.
