The CBI on Tuesday issued guidelines to strengthen the internal mechanism for pursuing cases against senior public servants earlier covered under Section 6 A of the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act that was recently struck down by the Supreme Court.
CBI Director Ranjit Sinha held a meeting with senior officials to strengthen the internal set up so that probe against senior officials is carried out in most diligent, judicious and professional manner to “ensure that enhanced power is tempered by greater sense of responsibility and accountability.”
