“This is an appeal to all the people irrespective of their political affiliations … how can you tolerate so much of corruption, oppression and mismanagement in Bengal … so days have come when you should really consider throwing out this (Trinamool Congress) government out of power and replace it with the BJP because BJP is invincible till Modi ji is the Prime Minister … till there is Modi magic no one can defeat BJP,” Chakrabarty a former TMC Rajya Sabha MP who later joined the saffron party said.
The Mumbai actor was holding a meeting in Hooghly district. “I am requesting you for that one chance … you do not have to go as far at the parliamentary elections. Vote for us in panchayat elections and test our performance … all of you will get houses under the housing scheme. That is my promise,” Chakrabarty said.
The TMC government has been under huge pressure following recruitment scams unearthed in sectors like education, health and fire brigade. Scams in MNREGA and PMRY schemes too have put the Mamata Banerjee government in a situation that it has not faced in the past 11 years of its rule.
