BJP has ruled out any possibility of it reacting to the “political overtures” of Telangana Rashtra Samiti. “There is no possibility of it now, post-poll options are there,” said a top leader of the party.
He was reacting to a query whether TRS was "warming up" to the BJP after an impasse in its seat-sharing dialogue with the Congress. Earlier, TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao had refused to merge his party with the Congress.
The BJP is expected to formally enter into a poll arrangement with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) of N Chandrababu Naidu in Seemaandhra and Telangana regions and fight against the Congress and TRS.
According to BJP's internal survey, TDP and BJP may fare "reasonably well" in Telangana and it would "certainly no bet a cake-walk " for the TRS and Congress in the region, they said. The BJP has already stitched 'a third-front' in Tamil Nadu by working a seat-sharing arrangement with actor Vijayakath's DMDK , Vaiko's MDMK and PMK of Dr M Ramodoss, in this lok Sabha election.
