'No secret deal with Didi who peddles hatred'

Mamata Banerjee is a merchant of hatred with whom the BJP has no secret understanding, the saffron outfit on Friday iterated dismissing claims made by the Bengal Opposition parties that Trinamool Congress and BJP were tied in a secret deal.

While Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh who held a closed-door meeting with senior State BJP leaders instructed the Bengal unit of the party to ‘ignore such false propaganda’ and move forward his Cabinet colleague Uma Bharati said Banerjee was peddling hatred for politicalgains.

“There is no secret understanding between the BJP and the Trinamool,” said senior BJP leader Rahul Sinha quoting Singh and added “Rajnathji told us that all such false propaganda is being made by the left and the Congress in order to hold on to the ground slipping beneath their feat.”

“He told us not to be bothered by the false propaganda as they are the part of the opposition strategy to defame a surging BJP which hasbeen doing so well in the State as could be proved by the Thursday’s by-election results of South Contai Assembly seat where the party has displaced the left to come up to the second position behind the Trinamool Congress.”

“He not only asked us to ignore the false propaganda but also congratulated the Bengal unit for the impressive result in East Midnapore,” Sinha quoting Singh said adding the supporters of the party all over the country were excited by its results in Bengal.

Sinha a former State BJP president said that Singh was briefed about the issues like victimisation of BJP leaders, infiltration,trans-border smuggling adding the Home Minister was also told informed how the State administration was singling out the BJP workers, attacking them and framing them in false cases.

Subsequently, reacting to the situation in the State senior national BJP leader Uma Bharati said Bengal Chief Minister was spreading politics of hatred in the State.

"Instead of developing the State Mamata Banerjee is spreading hatred in Bengal” Bharati herself a former Chief Minister said adding the police could have handled the situation at Suri in Birbhum more sensibly instead of raining batons on the people who had taken part in a religious procession.

“The State not only fails to spend properly the money that is sent by the Centre but also it fails to send its requisition to Delhi on time missing out on many opportunities. This happens because the Chief Minister is interested only in spreading hatred and appeasement politics and not developing Bengal,” she maintained.

“The proposals sent by

the Government are also full

of faults. They cannot make one correct project proposal and expect the money to

come immediately. So how can they get central funds,” Bharati also a Union Minister said adding the State officials seemed to be lacking in proper guidance.

“Instead of giving them guidance, Mamata Banerjee

is spreading hatred,” Uma Bharati said.
