No interest in toppling Maha BJP Govt: Pawar

less than 24 hours after he spoke about the instability facing the Devendra Fadnavis dispensation and exhorted his party cadres to prepare for mid-term polls, NCP chief Sharad Pawar did a somersault and on Wednesday said that he had no interest in toppling the BJP Government in the State.

Speaking at the concluding session of a two-day conclave of his party’s senior functionaries at Alibaug in adjoining Raigad district, Pawar blamed the media for "exaggerating and interpreting" his statement in a manner that his party was out to topple the BJP Government in the State.

“After yesterday’s speech, the political debate has taken a new direction in the State. It is true we extended our support to this Government. We did so after deliberation at our party level. Unlike what some newspapers have been saying, I have been consistent in my statements. I did not say anything different yesterday as well,” Pawar said, as debunked the “interpretation” in the media that he was planning to topple Devendra Fadnavis Government in the State.
