Nitish takes on leaders creating social hatred

Amid claims and counter claims over the seat sharing among the NDA partners and statements by the second rung leadership of the allies, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar cleared his stand that he would not compromise with his policies and principles just for the sake of power and position.

Sharing dais with Union Minister and lJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan here on Monday and addressing a function to commemorate the memory of former PM VP Singh, the JD(U) president lashed out at a section of BJP leaders for social clash and disharmony. He said, “Some people try to create hatred in the society. They want to create such atmosphere for votes  as they want to get votes in the name of caste and religion. I don’t care for votes but the voters even if they have not voted for me.”

Remembering VP Singh, the CM said he could have completed his tenure had he compromised with the situation. But he, Nitish added, despite heading a coalition Government, did not compromise with his policies. The CM also attacked the Socialists and said they became more interested in personal gains.
