Former Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar, who avoided mentioning Narendra Modi ever since he snapped ties with the BJP in June last year, extended his greetings on Monday to Modi and his Government — just few hours before he took oath as the 15th Prime Minister of the country.
Though Nitish skipped the swearing-in ceremony, his successor Jitan Ram Manjhi preferred to attend the ceremony “to end bitterness between the two former allies”.
