The National Green Tribunal on Tuesday asked Delhi University-affiliated Hindu College as to how it is operating the boys’ hostel without a proper sewage discharge plan.
A bench headed by Justice Swatanter Kumar directed the college to submit its sewage discharge plan to the Tribunal and listed the matter for next hearing on August 26. “The college shall specifically place on record as to how it is operating boys hostel and where the discharged sewage or other domestic waste is dumped,” the bench said. The bench was hearing a plea filed through advocate Gaurav Bansal seeking cancellation of the green nod for the construction of building complex for Shaheed Sukhdev College at Rohini and for expansion of Hindu College, University Enclave.
