'New terror factories' coming up across border

Published on:
A handful of new ‘terror factories’ has reportedly come up across the line of control (lOC) and International Border with India where Pakistan-based Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) is busy imparting arms and explosive training to fresh batches of ‘jehadists’ before pushing them into the Indian territory to spread its ‘arc of terror’.
These sensational revelations have come to light during the preliminary interrogation of Mohd Naveed, the lone Pakistani militant captured alive from Chirdi village of Udhampur after they attacked a BSF convoy along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on August 5, 2015.According to official sources privy to recent rounds of interrogation of Mohd Naveed, “these revelations have stunned Indian intelligence agencies as they believed Pakistan had shut down few training camps across the line of Control but now they have learnt that the same camps have come up at new locations and none of them has been physically shut down.”
The Indian security agencies are now keen on extracting the exact coordinates of these training camps to plug the new ingress routes. Official sources said, “Majority of small militant groups who are attempting infiltration from new routes are graduating from these new terror factories to execute their terror plots on the Indian soil.”
In the recent months numbers of youth who have joined ranks of militancy have also recorded slight increase in parts of South Kashmir much to the chagrin of security forces deployed in the region. The State of Jammu and Kashmir has also witnessed sudden spike in the incidents of terrorist related violence and ceasefire violations.
Successful infiltration bids by Pak trained militants has already exposed the tall claims of the security forces deployed in three tier security grid to prevent such infiltration bids.Meanwhile, on Tuesday Mohd Naveed was remanded in NIA custody for another 14 days and expected to reveal more details about the exact coordinates of these terror factories and nature of training being imparted there.
“Naveed was remanded in NIA custody for 14 days by a court here to enable the probe agency to identify other culprits involved in the Udhampur terror attack last week that left two BSF personnel dead,” official sources said. Naveed was earlier shifted to Jammu from Srinagar late on Monday evening under tight security arrangements. In the coming days NIA would piece together the chronology of events preceding the terror strike to build a water tight case against him in the court of law for final conviction under charges of waging war against India.
NIA authorities were also not happy with the over all handling of interrogation of Mohd Naved as they were astonished to find interrogation reports finding their way in the hands of media persons and compromising the overall interrogation.
