Neither Bua nor Bhatija can bring UP back on rails: Shah

Promising effective Governance, BJP national president Amit Shah said that Uttar Pradesh needed a Kalyan Singh-like Government where criminals were either hounded out of the State or were sent to jail.

“lawlessness is at its peak in UP. Criminals are calling the shots due to patronage by the ruling party. The State needs a tough Chief Minister like Kalyan Singh, who in his over two-year rule, made the State criminal free,” Shah said while addressing Sankalp Maharally in Etawah on Thursday. The BJP topgun said that it is only the BJP which can give a clean administration. “look around yourself, peace prevails in all BJP-ruled States. All villages in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and Haryana are getting 24X7 power supply. Pace of development is high and crime rate is low,” he said.

“The position in UP is just the opposite to what you see in BJP-ruled States. This is because we are committed to the welfare of people while parties like Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) are more into looting public money through various means,” Shah said.

He said neither Bua (Mayawati) nor Bhatija (Akhilesh ) can bring UP back on rails because their intentions are not clear. “In their regime mafia rule the roost because they get patronage from ruling parties,” the BJP boss pointed out.

To drive home his point, Shah took the name of Mokhtar Ansari and Atiq Ahmad and said that if SP has tacit understanding with leaders like these, how can one expect Chief Minister to provide clean administration.

It was first rally of BJP national president in Etawah – considered to be Mulayam Singh Yadav’s pocket burrough. The response was good as people came in large numbers to listen to the BJP chief.

Time and again he threw questions at the audience who enthusiastically answered in Rsyes’ or ‘no’. He started his rally with chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and followed it up ‘Jai Sri Ram’ indirectly reminding people that the BJP has not forgotten the theme issue of Ram Mandir – which might hog limelight in coming months.

In his over 40-minute speech, Shah pointed his barbs at SP, BSP and Congress calling these parties as corrupt and inefficient. “During the UPA regime Congress scam was worth Rs 12 lakh crores. In UP, you are witnessing tussle between Chacha and Bhatija, which is because of distribution of loot money,” he said.

“It is unfortunate that the Central government has given several thousand crore rupees to UP for development work, but not a single penny has been used. If BJP comes to power the Central government’s allocation of funds will reach the beneficiaries. The State will get at least Rs1 lakh crore annually from Centre,” he said.

Shah also spoke about Narendra Modi government’s achievements including the surgical strikes carried out by Indian Army.

“In 2014 lok Sabha elections people showered their love on the BJP and we want the same in 2017 elections,” he said and declared that the BJP will form the Government of its own.

State BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya also spoke on this occasion.

later in the evening Amit Shah held a detailed meeting with party leaders in lucknow and discussed the nitty-gritty of Parivartan Yatras.
