A 23-year-old man — nephew of a Bihar MP —was allegedly beaten up by his neighbours over a parking issue in south Delhi’s Hauz Khas area on Sunday night. The college student, Rishabh Jain, resident of South Extension, has said when he returned to his home along with his brothers Ritu Raj and Kishlay Raj he found some two-wheelers parked outside his home.
When he objected to it, the neighbour identified as Manohar lal Batra started using abusive language and picked up a fight with them. Rishabh along with his brothers had returned after paying a visit to the MP’s house in South Avenue in New Delhi. In a police complaint he said, “He and his brother Ritu Raj were punched by Manohar lal and his associates.” He added when his aunt tried to intervene, she was also threatened with dire consequences.
The police have arrested Manohar lal Batra while his two associates were absconding. An FIR in connection with the case was registered at the Hauz Khas police station and further investigations are on to get to the depth of the story.
