Praising the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre, former Deputy Prime Minister and BJP patriarch lal Krishna Advani said that the country has got a honest Government under the leadership of Modi and it would fulfil all its promise in the coming days.
Talking to the media on Friday, the 88-year-old Gandhinagar MP blamed Opposition Congress party for maligning the Modi Government through constant allegations, that too without any base. Advani is in Gujarat to participate in ‘Vikas Parv’, which is being celebrated by the BJP to mark completion of Modi Government’s two years.
Apart from the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, the veteran BJP leader also praised the Anandiben Patel Government in Gujarat and said that the State Government under the leadership of Patel was doing pro-people work.
Meanwhile, on Friday Advani also participated in a 20-km-long road show in his Gandhinagar Parliamentary Constituency in which large number of party workers remained present. The road-show was part of ‘Vikas Gaurav Yatra’ designed by the saffron party to highlight the development works done by the Modi Government in two years.
The road show covered Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel’s Assembly Constituency — Ghatlodiya and ended at Sarkhej Assembly Constituency which is part of the Gandhinagar Parliamentary Constituency. A large number of motor cycles and four-wheelers decorated with BJP flags and saffron scarfs participated. Advani’s daughter Pratibha also accompanied him in the road-show. It passed through various Patidar dominated areas where BJP leaders welcomed with warmth. As part of party’s policy, the veteran leader avoided public speech and only raised his hands in response to people.
Just like Adavni, other MPs of Gujarat will also take part in the ‘Vikas Gaurav Yatra’ in their respective constituencies. Time to time Union Ministers and other national leaders will also join them and tell the people about achievements of Modi Government in its first two years. Pamphlets are also being distributed in large number for the purpose. One Member of Parliament will at least visit 10 villages as part of the Gaurav Yatra.
