Admitting that terrorism is a big challenge for India, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that India has all the resources, commitment and public support to crush this anti-national activity.

“Terrorism is a big challenge for India. We will get victory over it as the NDA Government has a political commitment to crush terrorism,” Singh told reporters at the sidelines of a function held at Manisha Mandir in lucknow on Sunday. He said there were some incidents from across the border and India has given a befitting reply to our enemy. When asked about claims by Pakistan that India was not ready for talks, Singh said, “No one takes Pakistan seriously. They (Pakistani leaders) can level any allegation but we know the truth.”

To a query about increase in the influence of ISIS in India, he said the Government has taken stock of whole situation. The report about its increase in influence in some States is false. “Do not worry, the things are under control,” he said.

Earlier, addressing the seminar on Beti Bachao Bethi Padhao, Singh said that it was responsibility of each individual to ensure that girls should get proper education. “If you educate a girl, you education a whole nation,” he said.

Singh said the woman of today is not that who prefers to work at home. She is now ready to share all responsibilities. But still much has to be done. “We should treat every girl as our daughter and then only we can improve their lot,” he said.

He said that the Centre is giving all focus on girl education and was promoting that “girls are the foundation of a family.” Girls are now even going to space and taking up tops posts in police and army besides they are CEOs of different multi-national companies,” he said.
