National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) has taken a novel initiative for supporting women led and lesser known cooperatives working in remote parts of India by developing an exhibition-cum-sale centre named ‘NCUI Haat’ in its premises. The Covidd-19 pandemic has adversely impacted a section of smaller enterprises and cooperatives and they are struggling to run their business.
“To help such enterprises cope up with the difficult times, the NCUI Haat initiative has been conceived to assist women led and lesser known cooperatives by providing them a stall space for their products at a premium location in Delhi free of cost and helping them in branding and packaging too,” Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Chief Executive, NCUI said.
