In a memorandum to the Chief Election Commissioner and Maharashtra’s Chief Electoral Officer, Thane NCP candidate Sanjeev Naik’s election agent Ashok Pohekar demanded a re-poll in the booth number 338-A located at the Gramin Sikhshan Sanstha at Majiwada in Thane city. Pohekar said that as against an estimated 1,200 to 1,300 voters, only five voters had exercised their franchise in last Thursday’s polls.
In his memorandum, Pohekar said he suspected foul play in view of the fact that “only five voters were allowed to vote” in the polls.
