With an estimated sanctioned project cost of `168.39 crore (excluding GST), the project envisages transforming Haldighati into a landmark historical and tourism destination, commemorating the extraordinary bravery, patriotism and indomitable spirit of Maharana Pratap, with special emphasis on the historic Battle of Haldighati.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) executed with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, and the Rajasthan Heritage Authority (RHA), NBCC will undertake the planning, designing, execution, operation and maintenance of the identified works in accordance with the agreed project scope.
A major highlight of the proposed development will be the creation of the world’s tallest statue of Maharana Pratap at Haldighati, along with a world-class historical museum depicting the legendary warrior riding his iconic horse, Chetak. The project will also feature a topographical projection show at the Haldighati Memorial, presenting the historical significance and events of the Battle of Haldighati through an immersive visual experience. In addition, other identified heritage locations forming part of the tourist circuit will be upgraded and developed. The project aims to integrate historical preservation with modern tourism infrastructure, interpretation facilities and visitor-oriented amenities, offering visitors an enriching and immersive experience.
Through engaging displays and innovative presentation techniques, the circuit will provide an opportunity, particularly to younger generations, to understand Maharana Pratap’s life, courage, leadership and contribution to Indian history.
NBCC, with its extensive experience in planning and executing complex infrastructure, institutional and tourism-related projects, will bring its professional project management capabilities and multidisciplinary expertise to this prestigious initiative. The development will focus on quality, sustainability, preservation of the heritage character and creation of an enhanced visitor experience.
The Project Management Consultancy (PMC) fee for the project shall be 4.25% of the project cost, excluding GST, with GST applicable at 18% on the PMC fee. Any contingency requirements, if applicable, will be submitted separately during the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR).
The Maharana Pratap Tourist Circuit is expected to strengthen Haldighati’s position as an important heritage and tourism destination, attract visitors from across the country and abroad, promote Rajasthan’s glorious historical legacy and contribute to local economic activity, tourism-related employment and regional development.
Through this prestigious initiative, NBCC further reinforces its commitment to nation-building by leveraging its project management expertise towards the development of iconic infrastructure and preservation of India’s rich cultural and historical heritage.
