The 12-hour Odisha bandh call given by Odisha Maovadi Party chief Sabyasachi Panda on Thursday only evoked response in Gajapati district, though partially. Bus services were disrupted in the Mohana area of the district and only a few shops in Mohana, Adaba and Chandiput were open.
The bandh call was given by Panda in protest against the security forces killing his chief aide Gobind Majhi alias Pradip in an encounter in Karanjaguda forest under the Mohana police station on March 11.
