As the elections draw near, BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday roped in more Odia film actors to what he said “become assets” to his party.
Patnaik invited Ollywood actors Mihir Das and Satyaki Mishra and renowned playback Odia singer Trupti Das to his residence Naveen Nivas and announced that they have joined the BJD. Trupti Das told the media that she is ready to contest in lok Sabha or Assembly elections if the party decides so. Mihir Das was, however, not that specific in his response to the query about his desire to contest elections, saying let his political innings gradually unfold. He said his family has a strong political inclination.
