Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti escaped unhurt after her four wheeler met with an accident at Sangam in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday. However, Mufti’s personal security officer and driver suffered minor injuries. The PDP Chief was on her way to Khannabal to meet the victims of a fire incident at the time of the accident.
Front portion of the SUV was damaged after it collided with another civilian vehicle.
Mehbboba Mufti was later escorted to her destination in a separate vehicle after she refused to cancel her engagement.
Mufti’s daughter Iltija Mufti, who is also the media advisor to the PDP president, confirmed that her mother is safe. “Mufti’s car met with a terrible accident enroute Anantnag today. Thanks to the grace of god she and her security officers escaped unhurt without any serious injuries,” Iltija Mufti posted on X.
