Narrow escape for Naidu in Godavari boat accident

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and some of his Cabinet colleagues had a narrow escape when their boat collided with another boat on River Godavari in Rajahmundry.The incident occurred on Friday, the last day of Maha Godavari Pushkaram, when the CM was going from Padmavati Ghat in Rajahmundry to Kotilingala Ghat to review the arrangements made for the last-minute rush of pilgrims.

Officials said the CM and his Cabinet colleagues were safe and only the other boat suffered a minor damage. Apart from Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister China Rajappa, Ministers Narayana, Y Ramakrishnudu local MP Murli Mohan and MlA G Buchaiah Chowdhary were there in the boat.
