Bangalore south Parliamentary constituency is keenly watched in the country and the fight is between Aadhar flag-bearer Nandan Nilekani of the Congress who is invoking desi boy dynamics and local needs of the city and five-time MP of the BJP Ananth Kumar who is riding high on the Modi wave.
The fight is also taken through digital decibels in the social media reaching one and all.
Amid all the cacophony of electioneering Congress candidate from Bangalore south Nandan Nilekani who recently resigned as UIDAI Chairman faced the media and defended his selection
as he expressed confidence of a win over Ananth Kumar of the BJP.
Addressing a conference organised by Bangalore Press Club and Bangalore Reporters Guild in Bangalore on Friday Nandan a dig at Ananth Kumar from neglecting Bangalore south.
He said, “I think it is sad that a fighter MP has to invoke Modi all the time and not talking about his achievements.” In fact Ananth Kumar whose image had taken a beating in recent months, is only talking about Modi and asking people to make Modi the Prime Minister for the stability of the nation. Many in the constituency complain that he has not even visited once to them.
Nandan did not mince his words and called AAP as agitation DNA party. “AAP has brought in positive things like the way their fund raising etc, but India needs deep reforms in government, society, administration. But the AAP is an agitational DNA party.”
Nandan who said his experience creating 600 million identity to Indians and his earlier stint at Inofsys creating jobs has given him the confidence to win over five times MP Ananth Kumar.
“The people of Bangalore South are fed up with the inactiveness of the five time winner in the constituency. They are looking for change and I can bring that change for them. I will be their Ambassador in Delhi for the next five years,” he said.
