While addressing two impressive public rallies in Bihar on Wednesday, BJP’s prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi slammed Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the UPA Government at the Centre for all the ills plaguing the country. Modi also declared that the next Government in Delhi will be finalised by Bihar as the ‘storm of change is now sweeping the State’.

“When the UPA Government had come to power in 2009 it vowed to stop inflation within 100 days…has it been doneIJ” asked Modi to the roaring crowd at Buxar rally. He also said that recently the Congress party has released a dhoka patra (a betrayal manifesto) which again has promised to bring down the price rise.

“Do you believe this dhoka patraIJ...Do you believe the UPA GovernmentIJ..Do you believe madam Sonia GandhiIJ” he asked and when the cheering crowd roared ‘No,’ he appealed: Jab wada toda, to nata tod do unse.

Narendra Modi also sought blessings from the people of Bihar to form the next Government at the Centre and promised “then no one will be homeless in the country”.“I believe that people of Bihar have already made up their mind to change the course of things this time and this would be the first elections in the country when the results are declared before the polls.”

The BJP PM candidate urged the people of the country to not only vote to bring a change but also to punish those who have ruined this country. Desh ki janata sirf parivartan ke liye hi vote nahi karegi balki desh ko barbad karne walon ko saza dilane ke liye bhi vote karegi, he said.

While taking a dig at Congress president Sonia Gandhi, he asked the people “has anything good been done to your village in the last 10 years under madam Sonia GandhiIJ Has anything been done for the youth of the villageIJ Has there been any improvement in your lifeIJ” and when the crowd empathically said ‘No,’ he appealed, Jo sarkar apka bhala nahi kar sakti, kab tak jheloge aise sarkar koIJ (For how long will you keep tolerating a Government which can do no good to your lifeIJ)

Modi also reminded people of Buxar about late Prime Minister lal Bahadur Sahstri’s famous quote: Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan and asked people whether any good was done for the farmers or the soldiers of the country under the reign of the UPA Government. Kahi najar aa raha hai kya…jai jawan aur jai kisanIJ he asked.

“When our farmers grow more crops they have to suffer, when the cultivation is low they again have to suffer. The grains get stocked and stale at railway platforms and godowns but the Government still prefers to sell it to liquor barons at 80 paise.” This Government does not want to fill the stomach of our farmers but instead provides liquor to destroy them.

He also reminded them how the Pakistan Army had beheaded our soldiers and “our Government at Delhi offered chicken biryani to the Pakistani Prime Minister”.“Do you want such a GovernmentIJ... Give me a chance and I’ll ensure that no one eyes our Bharat Mata.”Earlier while addressing a similar public rally at Nawada, the BJP PM nominee appealed to the people of the State to support him in developing Bihar like other developed States.

“When you have given 60 years to the Congress Government, give me just 60 months to work and I promise you to change the profile of the country and the State as well,” he declared. He also said that today Bihar strives for change and needs to come out from all the ills plaguing it for long. “Aaj Bihar badalna chahta hai…musibaton se mukti chahta hai.”“I promise it in Nawada that I’ll bring with me a wave of change for this situation,” he declared. He also mocked the Congress for claiming to tackle corruption and questioned how the party could take the support of leaders like Adarsh housing scam accused Ashok Chavan.

He concluded his speech while urging the people to send all the BJP candidates from the State to the lok Sabha. From Nawada, the BJP has fielded its firebrand leader Giriraj Singh and another Modi loyalist Ashwani Choubey is the party candidate from Buxar lok Sabha constituency.
