Soon after exercising his franchise in Gandhinagar followed by a selfie, BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Wednesday air-dashed to Bihar and addressed four rallies and slammed the ‘mother-son Government’ for helping fodder scam accused lalu Prasad in getting bail. He said that the mother-son duo helped lalu in coming out of jail but now is shying to share the dais with him. Modi also declared that this mother-son Government is taking its last breath.
“Is it not a fact that the mother and the son helped lalu to come out of jail but I just wonder why they are shying away from sharing dais with himIJ This is double standards,” Modi said at a rally in Ujiarpur while accusing them for having an alliance but all behind the doors. “They tell him (lalu Prasad) don’t sit with us in public otherwise we’ll be wiped out from the country. Isn’t it a deception, a sin,” he asked the crowd and appealed to teach them a lesson on the coming poll day.
Continuing his attack on Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Modi also roared that “now none can save this maa-beta Government from a certain defeat”. “Maa-Beta ki sarkar gayee..ab inko koi nahi bacha sakta,” he said.
Modi, though, did not hit hard on RJD chief lalu Prasad who earlier had termed him a “butcher”. The RJD chief again on Wednesday called Narendra Modi a “jallad”.Narendra Modi, though targeted the UPA Government while calling it a weak and remote-controlled Government. “It’s a remote-controlled Government by this maa-beta which cannot do any good for the country. The country today needs a strong Government to take it out of all the mess and ills the UPA Government has brought it into,” he said.
“There are two camps in the country today. Those who want to survive their Government and other who want to save the country. But I’m happy that you people have already laid the foundation of a strong Government which will come into power after May 16, the verdict day,” he said at Hajipur rally.
While addressing youths between 18-28 years of age in particular, Modi appealed to them for taking a formidable decision of their life this time as “the age is the golden period of your life when you take all the major and important decision of your life”.“You don’t have to worry much...give me an opportunity to take care of your life...you’ve given 60 years to the Congress party, give me just 60 months and see the difference,” he said.
“I need at least 300 lotuses to bloom for a strong Government,” Modi appealed to the voters. He also addressed the banana farmers’ plight in Hajipur while giving an example of how the banana farmers of Gujarat have been making moolah with development in their area.Modi also tried to strike an emotional chord with Bihar and its people saying Bihar has always been in his heart.
“Bihar has given me so much love that it holds a special place in my heart. At my Patna rally on October 27 there were several bomb blasts in which some of my brothers martyred but I survived. God saved me otherwise Modi wouldn’t be here,” he said.“God protected me here that means it is Bihar which will ensure my win on May 16..Mujhe pura biswas hai,” he said. He also reiterated that wherever you go you will find many IAS and IPS officers from Bihar but “the goddess of wealth has not come here and lakshmi does not come without lotus (also referring to the BJP party symbol)”.
“Bihar ne mujhe jeet liya hai…karzdaar bana diya hai..ishwar mujhe itni shakti de ki main is karz ko utar sakun,” Modi said amid wide roar of NaMo-NaMo from the crowd. He also called upon the voters in Samastipur to give him an opportunity to ‘serve’ them. “I will not be the ruler or the Prime Minister but your servant,” he said. Meanwhile, polling on all seven seats in Bihar was completed peacefully with the poll percentage registered around 55 per cent.
