President of Suriname Chandrikapersad Santokhi met BJP national president JP Nadda at the BJP headquarters here on Friday.
Santokhi is the second Indian origin person to be elected as the President of Suriname.
He is the Chairman of the Progressive Reform Party of Suriname and has earlier served as minister of Justice and police from 2005-10.
The Suriname president has also served as Chairman of The CaribbeanCommunity and Common Market (CARICOM) in the year 2022.
He was the special guest of Honour for 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas held at Indore.
Nadda’s meeting with the Suriname President is part of a series of outreach by the BJP to create awareness and make understand the world community about the party and its political and economic programmes in the country.
