A 23-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws’ house in South-East Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area on Saturday afternoon. While the deceased’s husband and her family claimed that she committed suicide by hanging herself, victim’s family accused her in-laws of killing her.
The incident came to light when the woman, identified as Neha Pandey, was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The body has been sent for postmortem.“Victim’s father has told us that her daughter’s in-laws have been demanding a car from them and they had also been mistreating her since she gave birth to a girl. We are questioning her in laws about the case,” said a police official.
There were strangulation marks on the victim’s neck and her father claimed that she was strangled by her in-laws.
