Mystery shrouded the death of three suspected criminals whose bodies were found with bullet injuries at a house at Ghasipura village of Muzaffarnagar in the wee hours of Thursday.
Interestingly, the cops claimed that the criminals fired several rounds inside the house but none of the cops who rushed there after being informed of firing for several hours, could muster courage to enter the house to enquire. The cops managed to enter the house six hours later to find three bodies lying in a pool of blood while a woman inmate survived by locking herself up in another room.
SSP Muzaffarnagar, Deepak Kumar, who rushed along with personnel from Mansurpur police station, ascertained the identity of the deceased with the help of documents recovered from their person. They were identified as Deepak Rathi of Muzaffarnagar, Gaurav Singh of Gharipukta (Shamli) and Sachin of Chaprauli (Bagpat). He said that all the three were found dead under mysterious circumstances with bullet injuries. He also said that all three were wanted in connection with over a dozen cases of loot and murder.
The cops also recovered two pistols, two country made hand guns and cartridges in large quantity lying nearby.
