A 25-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her husband’s place. Her in-laws claiming that she committed suicide, while family of the deceased accusing them of killing her for dowry. The incident took place in Karawal Nagar where the deceased, identified as Pooja lived with her husband Vipin Kumar (28), with their one-year-old son and in-laws.
“It was Pooja’s in laws who informed her sister Madhu last night that she has committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan. However, Madhu reached the spot to find Pooja's body lying on the floor, she then made a PCR call,” said a police official. The police reached the spot and moved the body to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital for post-mortem.
Madhu and Pooja’s other family member have alleged that her in laws strangled her to death as they have been harassing her for dowry.
