Senior BJP leader Mukul Roy on Wednesday got a respite in a graft case with the Calcutta High Court setting aside a lower court order ordering his arrest.
The Division Bench of Justice Joymalya Bagchi quashed the arrest warrant issued by the city Bankshall Court.
Earlier Delhi High Court had granted Roy a 10-day breather from arrest directing him to seek redressal at a proper forum. Roy’s named had cropped up during police investigation after a person was arrested from Burrabazar area of Kolkata last year with large amount of unexplained cash.
