Even Vice-President’s official bungalow in lutyen’s Delhi is not spared by monkey menace. Making this observation on Tuesday, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu urged the Government to find a solution after a MP drew the attention of the House to the matter.
Raising it during Zero Hour, Ram Kumar Kashyap(INlD) said monkey menace was causing problems for citizens. Citing an instance, he said a MP was delayed for a committee meeting as he was attacked by a horde of monkeys. They also uprooted plants and carry away clothes drying on the clothesline.
Naidu then quipped even the official residence of the Vice President of India is facing monkey menace.
“Hope Maneka Gandhi is not there,” he remarked in a lighter vein referring to animal rights activists and Union Minister. The Chairman then asked Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Vijay Goel to urge the government to find some solution to this menace.
