The police on Monday arrested four persons, including two teachers of Madrasa Jamia Ismalia school managed by minority community members at village Ahamadpur under the Jajpur Road police station, on the charges of allegedly misbehaving with an eight-year-old girl student of the school on Thursday last and trying to help the main accused teacher flee from the village.
The accused teacher, Mujafar Hussion (40), allegedly behaved with the girl, a Class-III student, in an indecent manner, which she revealed to her father. The girl’s father filed an
FIR against the teacher on Friday alleging that the teacher molested his daughter in the school.After committing the crime, the teacher had fled the school, but the police arrested him on Monday, said IIC of Jajpur Road police station AK Sahoo.
The police also arrested Abdul Hasim Khan, president, and Sk Moim, secretary of the managing committee of the school, on the charge of suppressing evidence and helping the accused teacher flee from the village. The police also arrested headmaster of the school Sk Hussion Mohammed on the same charge.
The police filed a case under Section 354 of IPC and Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 against all the accused persons. The victim girl was also medically examined in the Government hospital at Jajpur Road.
The four accused persons were produced in the court of Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) at Jajpur Road. The court rejected their bail applications and remanded them to jail custody.
