Modi slams interim Budget

Calling it a glorified exercise in self-congratulation, Narendra Modi criticised the proposals of interim Budget. Reacting on the Finance Minister’s statement of there is no policy paralysis, Modi said that in reality, policy paralysis was the only constant policy of the UPA Government.

Sharing his preference for certain positive aspects of the Budget he said that the only positive decision was for ‘One Rank, One Pension’ for the servicemen. The only solace from the vote-on-account, according to Modi, was that this was the UPA Government’s final act of misery after a decade of decay and policy paralysis.

“The Finance Minister says 296 projects worth `6.6 lakh crore were cleared recently. Why were these projects held back at allIJ Is it not policy paralysis,” he said. Blaming the Finance Minister for mere lip-service on the return of black money, he added that UPA’s lack of commitment towards bringing black money was on display yet again.
