'Modi should apologise to voters over black money'

The Congress on Thursday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should tender an apology to the nation for “misguiding” the voters on the issue of black-money when in his lok Sabha rallies he promised to deposit Rs15 lakh in bank accounts of every Indian.

“Shocking admission by BJP president Amit Shah today describing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s principal election promise of bringing back black money and depositing Rs15 lakh in bank account of every family as an ‘electoral gimmick’ has stunned the entire country with a sense of outrage and betrayal,” said AICC spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala.
