BJP’s campaign committee chief Narendra Modi is on the move and set to address another public rally on September 10 in Jaipur. The Rajasthan BJP has already started preparation to make the event a mega success with a view to gather more than one lakh people.
“Encouraged with a kind of response Modi’s public rally had, BJP workers in neibouring Rajathan are upbeat. Unlike the rally at Hyderabad, other top BJP leaders including party president Rajnath Singh, veteran lK Adavani and others are expected to attend the rally,” said a source in the party.
While the rally in Andhra Pradesh was seen as a litmus test of Modi’s popularity in South India, the upcoming public rally in Rajasthan has even more political significance in wake of impending Assembly elections in November.
In fact, the rally will mark conclusion of BJP chief ministerial candidate Vasundhara Raje’s Surajya Sankalp Yatra.
Apart from active members of the BJP, newly inducted members during ongoing membership drive would attend the meeting. Rajasthan BJP general secretary Rajesh Punia and leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Gulab Chand Kataria have been assigned to make the drive a big hit.
