In his trademark flamboyant oratory, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Thursday said that India has been ruled by a ‘black magician’ for the past 10 years and it was time for the people of the nation to remove the ‘magician’ for the future of the country.
Taking a jibe at Sonia Gandhi’s remark that the BJP has brought in a ‘magician’ who claims to change everything overnight, Modi said: “The Central Government has been run by a black magician for the past 10 years. This was the prime reason why job opportunities have reduced in the country while farmers are reeling under crisis and army men beheaded in past one decade.”
Modi was addressing a Bharat Vijay rally amidst a crowd of over 10,000 people who patiently waited for hours at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur braving scorching heat (around 39 degree Celsius). Heading straight from Sonari aerodrome after arriving in a special flight Modi reached the venue at 1.25 pm, clad in his trademark white kurta-churidar immediately took on the dais. After receiving the ceremonial bouquets from senior BJP leaders, Modi in his brand style started with slogans of “Bharat Mata ki jai…”.
