Modi praises Yogi for UP’s development

Published on:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday lauded  Uttar Pradesh  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for his “great  leadership” to Uttar Pradesh and for  “ensuring all-round development” in the State.

Yogi Adityanath  who has become  the only Chief Minister in last  37-years to retain power  in the state i was greeted  by the Prime Minister  on his 51st birth day . UP is central to the Lok Sabha poll success  of any political party as 80 members of the lower house are elected from the state.

In 2019 Lok Sabha poll, the BJP won 62 out of the 80 seats from the most populous state in the country.  In the upcoming Lok Sabha polls 2024  which are barely 10-11 months away , UP again would be a  key state  for the ruling party if it were to  retain a majority in the Lok Sabha.  “Birthday greetings to Uttar Pradesh’s dynamic CM Yogi Adityanath Ji. Over the last 6 years, he has provided great leadership to the state and ensured all-round progress. On key parameters, UP’s development has been remarkable. Praying for his long and healthy life, “ said the Prime Minister in a tweet.

Adityanath has been the state’s chief minister since 2017 and has risen to become one of the most prominent BJP leaders, more so after the party returned to power in the politically crucial state in 2022 with a big win.

The UP CM is seen  by many in the saffron family  as one of the leaders of the BJP who could be projected by the party in the post-Modi era.
