The Bahujan Samaj Party has again raised a question over presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the tilak ceremony of Samajwadi Party national president Mulayam Singh Yadav’s grandnephew in Saifia on Saturday. “The bonhomie between Prime Minister Modi and Mulayam Singh Yadav was evident. The way children of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav were playing with Modi clearly indicated thaw in relations between two families,” BSP national general secretary Nasimuddinn Siddiqui said in a statement here on Sunday.
He said that both the parties were trying to fool the people. “Our party has been saying for many years about the tacit relations between the BJP and SP. Both the parties are hand in glove in inciting communal violence in the State. This helps in strengthening each other’s vote bank,” Siddiqui said. He said that common man is living in a fearful atmosphere while the SP Government was claiming to provide a fearless society for the people in State. How can it provide security to common man when leader of the party is playing host to the leader of a communal party, he said.
Mulayam’s grandnephew Taj Pratap Yadav, who is an MP from Mainpuri, is getting married to RJD leader lalu Prasad’s daughter Raj lakshmi. The tilak ceremony took place in Saifai while the marriage will take place on February 26 in New Delhi. The BSP is trying to use presence of Modi and other senior BJP leaders in the tilak ceremony as a political weapon to beat Mulayam Singh Yadav and the SP. It is trying to drive a message across to the Muslism that the SP leadership is close to the BJP.
