Modi is worst of them all: Didi

Published on:

Narendra Modi is the worst Prime Minister India has ever seen. That was how a belligerent Mamata  Banerjee described him from an election rallyi in Howrah.

Picking up where she left on Tuesday,  Banerjee referred to Modi as a person who was trying to make  inroads in Bengal but “has no sense of Bengali culture or else he would not have gone on speaking in a  tone most unbecoming of a Prime Minister.”

This man (read Modi) was the “most unfit Prime Minister,” the country had ever seen, she said. “I have  seen a number of Prime Ministers and worked with them as a Union Minister. But this man who is sitting  in the chair is the most unfit of them all” usurping all the democratic institutions from the media to  the Constitution and treating everyone like his servants.

“He has gobbled up the media, captured the democratic institutions” and was altering the Constitution  to his benefit,” Banerjee said adding “this man considers that he is the boss and everyone is his  servant.”

Banerjee who had earlier upped the ante on the Prime Minister particularly after he had told actor Akshay Kumar in a poll-time interview that she would regularly gift him choicest of attires and  delicate sweet augmented the decibel level of attack further after Modi told a rally in Hooghly that  more than 40 TMC legislators were in regular touch with him and were willing to switch sides.

A furious Banerjee promptly demanded cancellation of his candidature accusing him of horse-trading. “A  person who indulges in horse-trading and engineers defections in other parties has no right to contest  elections. This is why his candidature should be cancelled,” she said adding even “he has no right to  continue as the Prime Minister because he has insulted that post by lowering its dignity.”

“Modi is trying to enter Bengal but he  has no sense of political courtesy, no sense of political decorum and no sense of appropriate political  language”,she said.

Let alone everything the people would never vote for “a person who wants to rule Bengal but has no  sense of Bengali culture.” Incidentally the TMC has gone to town telling people how the BJP was a party  of the north and western India with no compatibility with the traditional Bengali culture.

Taking a dig at the RSS ways she said “those who earlier ran around on khaki half-pants are spending  huge amount of money to win elections.”

She had on Tuesday alleged that the BJP was spending money and  using agents to fill its election crowds. Later on Wednesday evening Banerjee led a huge road show  walking about 5 kms in Howrah.
