Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday continued attacking the Government over the spread of coronavirus in the country saying the Modi dispensation was in a “stupor” and the economy would be destroyed if a strong action is not taken. Describing the contagious disease as a “huge problem”, he said ignoring it was a “non-solution”.
“I will keep repeating this. The coronavirus is a huge problem. Ignoring the problem is a non solution,” Rahul said in a tweet.
“The Indian economy will be destroyed if strong action is not taken. The government is in a stupor,” the former Congress chief said. He also retweeted his February 12 post in which he had said coronavirus is a huge threat to the people.
On March 3, he had tweeted there are moments in the life of every nation when its leaders are tested. “A true leader would be completely focused on averting the massive crisis about to be unleashed by the virus on India and its economy,” Rahul stated in a tweet.
At that time, he had also tagged his February 12 post in which called coronavirus “an extremely serious threat to our people and our economy”. “My sense is the Government is not taking this threat seriously,” he had said.
