Mins spark row, but Nitish mum on Padmavati

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday refused to be dragged in the controversy involving Sanjay leela Bhansali’s Padmavati in which his two Ministers are already wading through.

Asked about his stand on the offer of Deputy CM Tejashwi Prasad Yadav to Bhansali for shooting in Bihar and Industries Minister Jai Kumar Singh’s strong resistance, Nitish attempted to steer clear by saying that he has not gone through the statements of his two Ministers. But he hastened to add that any attempt to create social disharmony should be discouraged.

“My knowledge on films is not good nor do I have time to ponder over such controversies,” said Nitish as the Industries Minister looked on. The CM was talking to media on conclusion of his lok Samwad programme where he and his Ministers and bureaucrats listen to the suggestions by the selected common people on various issues for good governance.
