The relatives of a minor girl killed her 20-year-old lover by mowing him down by a car at GTB Enclave area of east Delhi on Wednesday. To mislead police, they dumped the body in Ghaziabad.

But police was able to crack the case and arrested four persons — Rahul and his cousin Ankur, both of whom are in their early twenties —  including two juveniles. They have confessed to the crime, said police, adding that the accused had opposed to their relationship.

According to police, on April 1, Sagar Chaudhary alias Chunnu, was called to GTB Enclave from his house in loni area of Ghaziabad by the girl's sister on some false pretext. "As their plan was to eliminate Sagar, the girl's cousin Rahul along with his other relatives came in a car and started beating up the victim. They then took him, to Sahibabad area in the car and crushed him under the wheels before dumping his body on the roadside."

Following the complaint of victim's family, police laid a search and nabbed the girl's relatives. The minor girl, who has reportedly given the statement against her relatives, was accompanied by Rahul even as they mercilessly thrash him to death.

A police officer said the girl had kept on asking for mercy but her relatives did not pay any heed. A case of murder was registered and cops are further investigating into the matter to ascertain whether more people are involved.  Sagar worked at a cloth factory and stayed with his father Sunil Chaudhary, mother Rajni Devi and brother Vikrant Chaudhary.
