Minor gangraped in moving car in Bulandshahr

Almost a month after the infamous gangrape incident on a Bulandshahr highway in which a minor girl and her mother had been gangraped in front of the family members, another minor girl was gangraped in a moving car on another highway in the same area in broad daylight.

A class X student was on her way from her village to the school when four youths in a Swift Dezire car kidnapped her on Bulandshar-Aurungabad highway in Augota area, nearly 18 kilometres away from the place where first incident of gangrape had occurred. They kept their vehicle moving on the highway for three-four hours and gangraped the girl till her condition deteriorated.

Afterwards, she was thrown near a housing society in Siyana, about 10 kilometres away from the place where she was kidnapped. The passers-by tried to nab the accused but they managed to flee along with their car. The girl was first taken to a nearby hospital where her condition was reported to be critical. She was then referred to the district hospital.

What comes as a shock is that the police was reluctant to register the case under relevant sections but buckled only after it was proved in medical report.

Three of the four accused have been arrested, police said. Police claimed that during interrogation the accused accepted their involvement. Police said that one of the accused, Nitin, had proposed the girl and rejection of proposal turned into a gangrape incident.

Notably, on the night of July 29 a 35-year-old woman and her teenage daughter were gangraped by highway robbers when the family of six was driven off national highway 91 in Bulandshahr.
