Two unidentified motorbike-borne youths allegedly decamped with a suitcase containing jewellery worth Rs30 lakh from a car after diverting the attention of its occupants in west Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area here.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon when Tasmeet Singh (30) and his father Surender, residents of Rajouri Garden, were travelling to their jewellery showroom in their car.
There were two bags in the rear seat of the car, one had jewellery worth Rs30 lakh while the other one contained their lunch boxes. When they stopped at a traffic signal at Moti Nagar, two men reached beside the car and told him about a problem in car’s rear portion. When Tasmeet got off the car to check it the bike-borne men vanished with the bags.
