In a prompt riposte to the charges and audio tapes released by the expelled Bahujan Samaj Party leader Nasimuddin Siddiqui, party supremo Mayawati said that the expelled leader is a ‘taping blackmailer’ who has siphoned off the party’s membership money and had invested in his business.
Mayawati also rubbished the charges against her brother Anand Kumar, recently elevated as the vice-president of the party. “What was the background of Dhirubhai Ambani, he was from a very humble background and is now the biggest industrial house of the country so any body can grow in his/her career’’.
“Naseemuddin is a taping blackmailer. He used to provoke the party leaders and recorded their statement and later extorted money from them with the threat that if this tape reaches ‘Behanji’ then the leader will be expelled from the party,”, Mayawati said in a hurriedly Press conference here on Thursday. It was for the first time that Mayawati addressed the Press conference without reading from the prepared text.
